Guests - Kourosh Keshavarz - will talk on his book MIRROR FROM STONE - having spent his infancy in Australia, young Kourosh returns with his family, to Iran. He is welcomed by an extensive family, who embrace the young boy. Despite a fascination for his Iranian homeland, Kourosh remains a Sydneysider at heart. Not being fluent in Farsi is only one of his problems, as there is a Revolution taking place. This, followed by a war with Iraq, prompt his family to undertake the perilous task of escaping overland from Iran, in a bid to return to Australia.
The Northern Beaches Writers will be in the studio to read out and critiquing their own writing.
